Day Trip from Marrakech To Essaouira

In the morning, your driver will collect you from your Hotel or Riad in Marrakech at 8:00 am to begin your day trip from Marrakech to Essaouira. Our journey will include a few stops, with the first break in Chichaoua town for a coffee. We will then proceed through the towns of Sidi Moktar and Ounagha. This excursion offers the opportunity to visit a women-run Argan oil cooperative, which is optional and free. Along the way, you’ll witness the fascinating sight of goats climbing Argan trees; feel free to take photos, but a small tip is appreciated.

We expect to arrive in Essaouira around 11:30 am, where you can start exploring this charming coastal city. If you prefer, you can hire a local guide for a more in-depth tour. Alternatively, you can wander through the city on your own; the Medina is smaller and more navigable compared to other Moroccan medinas, and the locals are very friendly.

Explore notable sites such as the Sqala, Gallery Kasbah Art, and the Essaouira Fishing Port. For those interested in activities, there are various water sports available. At lunchtime, you can choose from a variety of restaurants in the central square, or buy fresh fish in the medina and have it cooked at a nearby restaurant.

In the afternoon, you’ll meet your driver at the designated park to return to Marrakech. You will be dropped off at your Riad or Hotel, or the nearest accessible parking. This concludes your day trip from Marrakech to Essaouira.
