10 Days Morocco Trip From Casablanca Itinerary

Our 10 days Morocco tour starts with a pick-up from either the airport or your hotel in Casablanca, the country’s largest city and economic hub. You’ll visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, Morocco’s biggest mosque, located on a peninsula jutting into the Atlantic Ocean. After some free time for lunch, we’ll continue with a city tour, including a visit to the scenic Corniche. You’ll spend the night in a comfortable hotel.

After breakfast, we head out by car and drive along the coast to Rabat, Morocco’s political capital and one of its four imperial cities. In Rabat, you’ll see three main attractions: the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Udayas. After some free time for lunch, we continue our journey north through the town of Ouazzane to reach Chefchaouen, the famous blue city in the Rif Mountains. This city is known for its white and blue painted buildings and alleyways. You’ll stay overnight in a local hotel.

After a leisurely breakfast, take a stroll through the beautiful walkways of Chefchaouen, the blue city. Next, we head to the ancient Roman city of Volubilis, a well-preserved UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its stunning mosaics, ancient pillars, and archways. After exploring the ruins, we drive 30 km to Meknes, known as the Ismaili capital and one of Morocco’s imperial cities. In Meknes, we’ll visit Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal Stables, the granary, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Finally, we travel to Fes, where you’ll stay overnight in a Riad.

In the morning, after breakfast, we’ll follow our planned schedule to visit the key attractions in Fes with a local guide. Fes, one of Morocco’s four Imperial cities, is also the country’s spiritual and artistic capital. We’ll start by visiting the Royal Palace gate. Next, we’ll explore the well-preserved medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll stop at the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud), the entrance to the old Medina.

Inside the Medina, we’ll visit the Bou Inania Madrasa, the Najjarine Fountain, the Tanneries, and the Quaraouine Mosque and University, the oldest university in the world. Afterward, we’ll head to the ‘Mellah,’ the Jewish district. Later, we’ll go to an old fort for a panoramic view of the Medina and the city of Fes. Finally, we’ll return to your Riad.

After a warm breakfast, we head south through Imouzzer to reach Ifrane, a city known for its cold climate, snow, and alpine-style housing, earning it the nickname “Switzerland of Morocco.” Our 10 days Morocco trip from Casablanca then takes us to the cedar forest, home to the Barbary macaque, where you can feed the monkeys. We continue to Midelt, passing through the Rif Mountains, and stop for a lunch break.

In the afternoon, we arrive in the Sahara Desert at Merzouga. Here, we switch to camels and trek across the sandy desert, pausing atop a high dune to watch the sunset.

Finally, we reach the desert camp, a blend of a nomadic tent and a hotel. In the camp, you can enjoy Berber drum music, dance until midnight, and relax around the fire under a starry sky. Wake up early in the morning to witness the sunrise over the desert. After enjoying some free time for breakfast, you can return to the camp by 4×4 car or camel through the sand dunes of Merzouga. If you prefer, you can also ride ATVs for an extra charge.

On the 6th day of our 10 days Morocco itinerary from Casablanca, we will spend the entire day exploring the Merzouga region. This area offers many incredible sights, including sand dunes, a wild lake, mines, fossil sites, and beautiful oases, perfect for various outdoor activities.

First, we will go off-road in Merzouga to visit an old kohl mine. Next, we will meet local nomads and see how they live inside handmade woven tents while enjoying traditional Berber tea. We will then visit the village of Khamlia to experience Gnaoua music and a dancing show. The residents of Khamlia come from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger.

Afterward, we will have lunch at a local restaurant. We will finish our day with a walk through the palm tree groves, known as the modern echo of the desert. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at a hotel, concluding another memorable day of our 10 days Morocco itinerary from Casablanca.

In the morning, we leave the desert and head to Rissani, the former capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains a key trading hub, with a bustling market active on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. We’ll take a leisurely walk through the Rissani souk before heading to Erfoud to visit a fossilized marble workshop.

Next, we travel through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad, arriving at the stunning Todra Gorges. Carved by the Todra River, these gorges are perfect for rock climbing and walking, offering breathtaking views. We’ll have lunch at a local restaurant with no time constraints.

After exploring the Todra Gorges, we continue through Tinghir and cross the Dades Valley at Boumalne. Here, we’ll see the famous rock formation known as “the monkey fingers” and visit a quiet spot on a hill overlooking the Dades Valley.

Finally, we proceed to the desert oasis of Marrakech, where we’ll have dinner and spend the night in a hotel, marking another memorable day in our 10 days tour from Casablanca.

After breakfast, we drive to Kalaa Magouna to visit the Rose Valley. In May, this area hosts a festival where locals showcase their rose products. We then continue through the palm groves of Skoura and arrive at Ouarzazate, known as the “door of the desert.” Here, we visit film studios where famous movies were shot.

Next, we head to the renowned Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been featured in movies like Gladiator, Alexander, and The Mummy, as well as the TV series Game of Thrones.

Our journey then takes us to Marrakech, driving through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains. We’ll stop for breakfast and lunch at convenient times and take photos at various tourist attractions. After a hearty breakfast, the rest of the day is free until our guided Marrakesh city tour begins. Marrakesh, once one of Morocco’s four imperial cities in North Africa, awaits exploration. The tour includes visits to the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and the Ben Youssef Quranic Mosque. You’ll also stroll through one of Morocco’s largest traditional markets.

For lunch, we’ll stop near Jemaa El-Fna square around midday. Afterward, we’ll visit the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakesh, and the beautiful Majorelle Garden.

Finally, we’ll return to our accommodation. Feel free to explore Jemaa El-Fna square independently in the evening, concluding another enriching day of our 10 days Casablanca Adventure.

On the last day of our 10-day Morocco itinerary from Casablanca, we’ll take a short tour of Marrakesh, known as the red city of Morocco. Afterward, we’ll drive north towards either Casablanca airport or Marrakech airport, depending on your departure location. Along the way, we’ll stop at scenic spots to enjoy the views. Finally, we’ll transfer you to the airport, marking the end of our tour package.
